Basil Pesto Sauce with Walnuts

Yields: 1 ½ c

INGREDIENTS:
1 cup of raw walnuts
½ cup fresh basil, rinsed and packed
½ cup fresh spinach, rinsed and packed
¾ cup olive oil
3 garlic cloves, peeled
1 ½ tsp lemon juice
½ tsp salt
DIRECTIONS:
1. Toast walnuts over medium-high heat until fragrant, 2-3 minutes.
2. Place all the ingredients in a food processor and blend on high speed until smooth. This will take about 10 seconds.
