Apple, Pineapple, & Vegetable Juice

Servings: 4-5
Time: 10-20 minutes
Created by: Christine S.

INGREDIENTS:

1 medium apple, rinsed, cored, and coarsely chopped
¾ c pineapple, peeled, cored, and coarsely chopped
1 c spinach, rinsed and packed
3 stalks of celery, rinsed and chopped
3 c filtered water, room temperature
Optional: ice cubes, if desired

DIRECTIONS:

1. Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend on high speed for about 20 seconds, until all the ingredients are well incorporated and smooth.
2. Take a cheese cloth if you don’t prefer some or all of the pulp.  Pour some or all of the juice (depending on how much pulp you like, with less juice yielding more pulp, and more juice yielding less to no pulp) into an open cheese cloth with a large bowl underneath the cloth.  Once the cloth is nearly full with pulp (with the estimate that it won't fall out of the cloth while squeezed) stop pouring the juice from the blender and set the blender aside.
3. With clean hands, squeeze out the juice from the cloth into the bowl until all the liquid is gone from the bag.
4. Discard the pulp inside the bag.
5. Repeat steps 2-4 until you have the desired amount of pulp in the blender.
6. If serving immediately, pour the juice from the bowl and/or blender into drinking cups.  If you're trying to serve some or all later, you may pour the juice into a large carafe with a lid.
7. Add ice if desired.

8. If you're trying to save your juice for a later time, stow your carafe or other type of airtight container in the fridge.
